I counsel patience. The frying pan and fire are not likely substitutes. If you will, I suggest a more teutonic milieu where familiarity and efficacy may coincide. Now we have the summer vacation, this is the time to strike. I hear a position may be avaiable at Regensburg. I suggest you contact Rector Professor Dr Dr Klinsmann 'through the usual channels'.
